Our Twisted Snaffle 2.5 Ring mouthpiece is popular due to the curved mouthpiece. As a result it distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars. With the offset centre link it will reduce nutcracker action and pressure points on the tongue. Twisted wire creates more pressure points on the bars making it a stronger bit.

A Ring cheek piece introduces poll pressure as well creating leverage on the mouthpiece. As a result, the 2 ½ ring version is the softest version of ring bit as the ½ ring softens the leverage on the mouthpiece and poll.

Additionally, all our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidises easily
• encourages salivation
• helps bit acceptance
• is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.
