Bombers Bits has spent more than 30 years developing bits for horses that need greater comfort, clearer communication or a different feel in the contact. Each bit is handmade in South Africa, combining practical equestrian experience with carefully designed mouthpieces and cheek pieces.
Many Bombers mouthpieces are made from blue sweet iron. The material naturally oxidises during use, producing a warm, sweet taste that encourages salivation and can help the horse accept the bit. The blue finish will gradually fade with normal use.
The range covers dressage, show jumping, eventing, endurance, racing, polo and everyday riding, with designs available for a wide variety of horses and bitting requirements.
Standard sizes: 125–150 mm with a 14 mm mouthpiece.
Pony sizes: 105–120 mm with a 12 mm mouthpiece.
