Bombers Bit Half Twisted Wire Barrie Full Cheek

The Half Twisted Wire Barrie Full Cheek is a severe bit due to the centre links of the two pieces being offset by 20mm giving it a double nutcracker action, which creates more tongue and bar pressure.
Good for strong older horses.

Twisted wire creates more pressure points on the bars and as a result makes it a stronger bit.

The Fulmer, or commonly known as the Full Cheek cheek piece, will have the same effect as the traditional Eggbutt in so much as, it will prevent pinching on the sides of the mouth, however the extended pins above and below the bit, firstly prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly have the effect of guiding the horses head which is great for schooling and training purposes.

Additionally, all our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidises easily
• encourages salivation
• helps bit acceptance
• is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.
