Polito Snaffle Big Ring Gag

Our Snaffle mouthpiece is popular due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars.
With the offset centre link it will reduce nutcraker action and pressure points on the tongue  This bit is unique as the mouthpiece is rounded and heavier than the standard snaffle.

The Polito design is solid, rectangular in shape, with the gag rings being 8mm diametre as apposed to the standard ring which is 7mm, therefore this bit is considerably heavier than the normal snaffle gag.

The Big Ring Gag is stronger than the usual Loose Ring and Eggbutt as the ropes going through the rings create leverage which will exert more pressure through the mouthpiece whilst at the same time introducing more poll pressure.  These are generally used for Polo.

The big ring creates more leverage making it stronger than the small ring version.

All our bits are made from blue sweet iron, because it:

• oxidises easily
• encourages salivation
• helps bit acceptance
• is warm and sweet

Please note the blue will fade with use.
